An app instead of a bank card: A1 banking launched a contactless payment technology

A1 banking mobile application expands the capabilities of its online card. A new payment method is available wherever there is a POS terminal that supports the contactless payment technology.

If holders of an online card could previously use it only on the Internet, now it can replace a traditional bank card. Simply bring the smartphone with the application to the terminal - and the necessary amount will be debited from the user's account.

The application also supports the Tap&Go function with a limit of up to 20 rubles. This technology allows you to make a purchase as quickly and conveniently as possible: no need to enter passwords or run the application. All you need is to unlock the smartphone and bring it to the terminal, and the payment will be made automatically.

Contactless payments are available to subscribers of all mobile operators in Belarus who use Android devices with a minimum OC version of 5.0 and NFC technology support. Another important condition is that the user's device should not be in ROOT access mode.

Contactless payments from the A1 banking online card are made on the basis of HCE technology (Host Card Emulation).
