News of development of GSM network in June

In June velcom installed 17 new base stations, having included 5 more settlements in the network.

Works on improvement of the coverage and extension of the network capacity were performed in the capital in the area of Kabushkin Street and Minsk-Passazhirsky railway station, Gomel, Mogilev, Bobruisk, Oshmyany, Baranovichi. The coverage was also improved on the highways P35 not far from the settlement of Prosmychi, Bragin district, Gomel region and P3 near the settlement of Nivki, Borisov district, Minsk region.

The settlements of Zagorie, Minsk region, Mikheevichi (in the area of a cement plant, which is being constructed), Krichev district, Mogilev region, as well as an agricultural town near the settlement of Babinovichi, Liozno district, Vitebsk region, were provided with GSM telecommunication.

Nowadays 3,301 base stations and 28,754 transceivers in 1,360 settlements of the country are in operation in velcom network.
