High speed residential Internet powered by GPON technology from A1 is now available in Brest

A1 company has built a GPON-network in Brest, making high speed residential Internet and digital television offering over 140 channels available to approximately 13 thousand apartments. Residents of Vostok-1, Vostok-2, Vostok-3 and UZMR residential districts will be the first to assess the benefits of the new network.

GPON technology is capable of providing subscribers with broadband Internet access at speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s. Its advantage is not just the connection speed, but also its significant "safety margin" for the future: even if users need faster Internet to access heavier content tomorrow or in 10 years, the network will be ready to provide the required bandwidth capability.

When connecting via GPON technology, the fiber optic cable is laid in each subscriber's apartment, bypassing the telephone line. Due to the high speed of the Internet connection, it is possible to use several types of telecommunication services simultaneously, such as unlimited Internet access (both wire-connected and on Wi-Fi) and digital TV (over 140 channels, including 30 broadcasting in HD format). All of this with just one cable and within the framework of integrated tariff plans from A1, the price of which starts from 10.90 rubles per month, depending on their content and the speed selected.

Apart from Brest residents, home Internet utilizing the GPON technology from A1 is available to residents and organizations of Minsk, Mogilev, Bobruisk, Novopolotsk and Zhlobin.

You can check the connection accessibility for your home address, have a look at tariff plans and leave an application for connection on internet.a1.by or by dialing 150.
