For the first time ever online: VOKA broadcasts The Night of Museums live

For the first time ever in Belarus annual global activity The Night of Museums will be held online. Exclusively for this event that takes place on 16 May The National Historic Museum, videoservice VOKA and rock-folk opera team Charadzei have adopted the musical for online format. Free of charge broadcasting starts at 9pm and will be available for anyone anywhere in the world.

 

Rock-folk opera Charadzei is written by a Belarusian composer, scriptwriter and producer Roman Orlov themed on the chronicles of legendary Duke of Polatsk Vseslav Charodei. The premiere took place in 2016 in Belgosphilarmonic theatre, later on the show was staged in other venues and in different versions more or less a dozen of times.

 

The first online experience of the Night of Museums at the National Historic Museum of the Republic of Belarus will feature selected scenes from rock-folk opera Charadzei that will be performed in acoustic rendition. Together with the main character, goddess Mara (the front woman of У Neskladovaye Ekaterina Potyus) VOKA audience will set out on a live quest for Vseslav Charodei (Anton Chirvinski), will come across his granddaughter Euphroysine of Polatsk, Duke Nikolai Radziwill the Black and other symbolic figures. After online broadcasting of the opera that lasts about two hours, it will be continued from the patio of the National Historic Museum that will host a night concert.

 

Live broadcasting will be available on 16 May via VOKA app or on voka.tv from any device and in any Belarusian network and other countries around the globe with no authorization required. Multicamera art cinematography in HD quality will enable everyone to be able to participate in the first in Belarus online Night of Museums and take a close look at everything that takes place in the showrooms from any angle even while staying at home.
