VOKA launches its own eSports league and invites to the Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments.
VOKA announces the creation of its own eSports league. Belarusian players will have an opportunity to participate in virtual battles in Dota 2 and CS:GO in the very near future: the first preliminary rounds will start on October 28, and live broadcasts of games will be available on VOKA in the eSports section already from October 30.
Everyone interested above 16 years can join the VOKA league; the participation is free. The main condition is that the team should consist of at least three Belarusian players: because the goal of creation of the VOKA League is precisely to give the opportunity for the Belarusian gamers to take the first steps in eSports. The registration for the tournament begins on October 21. It can be done in the Vkontakte VOKA Gaming official group.
Dota 2 players are the first to enter the fight and the preliminary rounds for this discipline begin on October 28. Shortly thereafter, on October 22, the CS:GO preliminary rounds will start.
The Dota 2 group stage begins on November 11. You can watch the games live on the voka.tv website in the eSports section, as well as on the Twitch streaming platform and in the VOKA Gaming group in the Vkontakte social network. Here you can find all the relevant information about the competitions: tournament table, game and broadcasting schedule, etc.
"Along with traditional sports, eSports are gaining more and more popularity today. Dota 2 and Counter Strike managed to gain a huge army of fans, including in Belarus. We decided that the citizens of our country should be given the opportunity not only to watch tournaments held in other countries but also to become participants of such events. That is why VOKA has organized its own eSports league and invites everyone interested to join the first competitions as part of the VOKA League", said Anton Bladik, A1 Deputy Director General for Digital Platforms and Content.
The winners of the Dota 2 finals will be known on December 1, and the results of the Counter Strike competitions on December 22. The prize fund of the competitions will be 10,200 Belarusian rubles.
