Hola, Mexico! Festival of Mexican Culture in Minsk
On 27 September, Upper Town (Verkhniy Gorod) in Minsk will host a big Festival of Mexican Culture organised with support from A1. For one day only, Svobody Square will become a celebration spot for all fans of Mexican traditions, music, and cuisine. Admission is free.

From 12:00 and all the way to 22:00, the festival will be offering traditional Mexican music, unique photo zones, exciting activities for kids and adults, dance master classes, and quizzes on Mexican culture and history. The Upper Town area will transform into a food court with mouth-watering Mexican foods, including burrito, quesadilla, and other masterpieces of the Mexican cuisine which, by the way, is becoming increasingly popular in Minsk.
The Belarusian cuisine will get a magical Mexican touch too! Together with A1, the Bulbashy restaurant chain offers a fusion menu that has taken the best from the Belarusian and the Mexican cuisines. The menu is available at the Bulbashy locations at 4 Gertsena st. and 4 Svobody Square.
Another highlight of the upcoming celebration will be a master class in making a slightly spiced Mexican punch to warm up festival attendees at night.
The celebration will culminate with the National Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus performing the soul-touching Mariachi music. The Upper Town stage will bring together two iconic maestros, Vitaly Kulbakov, the chief conductor of the National Presidential Orchestra, and the prominent Mexican conductor Rafael Palacios, Doctor of Musical Arts at Sorbonne University, Professor at National Superior Conservatory of Paris for Music and Dance. The concert will start at 20:00 on the main stage near the City Hall.
The Mexican Culture Festival is hosted by the Minsk City Executive Committee with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Embassy of Mexico. The event is supported by А1, a company under the umbrella of A1 Group, which has been a European subdivision of the América Móvil international holding, one of the world's leading telecom providers with a head office in Mexico, since 2014.
