A1 rebranding named as media highlight of the year in Belarus

A1's rebranding became the media highlight of the Belarusian corporate sphere. This was announced on October 2 at the Media Person of the Year 2019 award ceremony organized by Komsomolskaya Pravda Group.

Between April and August of this year, the company that had been known as velcom mobile provider for 20 years, changed and repositioned its brand. Now it works under the brand name A1, providing the services of mobile and fixed communication, cloud storage and data processing, interactive television, as well as entertainment content.

The company's rebranding was gradual but it still dominated the news and social media throughout all the stages, becoming the media highlight of the Belarusian corporate sphere.

The Media Person of the Year 2019 award ceremony was held in Belarus for the first time. Komsomolskaya Pravda Group presented the award to companies and people who were at the forefront of the highest-profile events in 2019. The prize winners were 25 representatives of business, politics, sport, economy, culture, and IT sphere.
