#Take5seconds: А1 Launches Child Online Protection Program
To honor Safer Internet Day, A1 and the Belarusian Children's Fund launched a program to protect children and teenagers online and created a dedicated safety brochure. The initiative marks a continuation of #Take5seconds nationwide campaign aimed at protecting A1 clients and all Belarusian citizens from online scams.
In the November of 2024, A1 launched #Take5seconds, a nationwide campaign designed to raise awareness of cyberfraud and help people protect their personal information. As part of its #Take5seconds campaign, A1 joined efforts with the Belarusian Children's Fund to develop a program for protecting children and teenagers online.
Frequent users of social networks and online games, children and teenagers are extremely vulnerable to online fraud. Lacking caution and life experience, they often fall victim to manipulation. Young people are easily tempted by promises of getting money and modern gadgets in a hassle-free way, which makes them a common target of scammers.
To mark Safer Internet Day, A1 and the Belarusian Children's Fund issued a brochure on Internet safety. The brochure is available for download at safety.a1.by. The extended version will be distributed among children's institutions supported by the Belarusian Children's Fund. Special focus will be given to children and teenagers brought up in family-type children's homes and those deprived of parental care or from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The brochure explains why you should come up with reliable passwords, whether you should talk to strangers on the Internet and accept their "easy money" offers, when you should ask adults for advice, and much more.
Along with its #Take5seconds campaign, А1 is constantly holding master classes and educational events on cybersafety to help people protect themselves against online scammers.
A1 is also focused on ensuring its clients' safety. In 2024 alone, A1 blocked about 2,000 scammer phone numbers, while A1 Cyber Defense Center investigated over 200 cyberincidents. The company's specialists prevent 5,000+ cyberattacks every month, ensuring the utmost safety of A1 clients. On top of that, A1 Cyber Defense Center identified 1,000+ vulnerable Belarusian devices, which could be used by cybercriminals to launch attacks on Belarusian and international websites. The owners of suspicious IP addresses received recommendations for eliminating detected vulnerabilities, which allowed to enhance online safety big time.
