Take 5 Seconds: A1 shares tips on combating cybercriminals

A gathering of elderly citizens took place in the City House of Culture in Baranovichi on 13 January as part of the republican charity event "From the Heart". A1 joined the event and held a training session in cybersecurity for over 700 participants.

A1 training took place within the #ionline project and the #Take5seconds information campaign aimed at protection against cyber fraud. A1 experts shared tips on how to identify malicious calls and messages, which safety rules to follow on the Internet and during phone calls, and what to do in case of attempted fraud.

Special emphasis was placed on the relevant fraudulent schemes during the holiday season: fictitious lotteries and gifts, fake ads for sale of Christmas trees and ornaments.

In order to make sure the useful info is always at hand, A1 in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection prepared a cybersecurity leaflet. Every attendee of the meeting received a printed version of the leaflet. Digital version is available for downloading at safety.a1.by. The printed materials are additionally available in territorial public social service centers across Belarus.
