New Store, New Service, Vulitsa Ezha, CyberVacation, Mobile Service Improvements & More: July News Digest
Marking the pinnacle of summer, July is traditionally packed with exciting events, and A1 confirms this rule even further! We decided to share with you what we've been up to lately!
Let's start with Pinsk. The city welcomed a new A1 store located at 60 Let Oktyabrya st., 19, 1st floor of the Pina Park trade center. The new outlet offers smartphones, laptops, tablets, accessories, as well as home and beauty appliances by renowned brands. Like all physical outlets, the new store offers a you can sign up for A1 services, including Internet for your home and office, get a professional consultation, or make payments for the services rendered.
A1 has achieved a major milestone in increasing its network capacity. The technological upgrade has made a better mobile service and mobile Internet available to thousands of people living in Gomel, Minsk, and Mogilev Regions, as well as in Gantsevichi, Luninets, and Pinsk Districts of Brest Region. What's more, A1 has greatly improved mobile coverage in the Green Haven (Zelenaya Gavan) residential complex. The local residents can now enjoy a faster mobile Internet and a more stable connection even in high-density areas.
Helmut Duhs, General Director at A1 Belarus, has been bestowed the sought-after "Person of Action 2025" award. The jury distinguished his hard work in growing the A1 company and developing the telecom industry in Belarus. Helmut Duhs was announced winner in the "Building a Foreign Brand in the Domestic Telecom Market" nomination.
A1 has introduced "A1 Video Surveillance", a new service for businesses. This comprehensive solution includes a set of tools to create an easily scalable video surveillance system with an option to store video recordings for as long as you wish. The platform allows seeing what's going on on the premises, control cameras, view archived video recordings, set up surveillance parameters online, and much more.
Cyber security has always been one of A1's top priorities. The telecom provider has launched a creative contest for teenagers and young people. The event focuses on the importance of staying safe online and boosting your digital competence. The contest will become part of the CyberVacation training course. This initiative is a logical continuation of #Take5Seconds, a nation-wide information campaign which aims to protect A1 clients and all Belarusian citizens from fraud and emphasizes the importance of responsible use of technologies.
Plus, as a long-term partner of the Vulitsa Ezha food festival, A1 set up an exciting zone with movie screenings, Inclusive Coffee Shop, and cyber security activities during the latest urban picnic. The event took place on 19–20 July in the Botanical Gardens in Minsk. The guests were welcomed by Super Hedgehog, an online guard and the main mascot at A1's photo zone. In addition to enjoying open-air cinema and delicious coffee from one of Belarus' most famous inclusive coffee shops, the attendees got a chance to enhance their digital competence through entertaining games.
And now to VOKA news! The online cinema app for smart TVs and Android TV game boxes got a major update. The new version boasts an impressive package of great features, including an optimized interface and the ScreenSharing function for broadcasting video content from one device to another.
