A1 Company initiated the creation of the Belarusian Federation of Computer Sports.
A new association has appeared in Belarus, which will be engaged in the development of e-sports: on February 7, 2020, the Republican Public Association “Belarusian Federation of Computer Sports” (RPA “BFCS”) was registered. It was created with the assistance of A1.
The Belarusian Federation of Computer Sports is a non-profit organization created to develop and popularize computer sports in the Republic of Belarus. It will bring together Belarusian computer sports enthusiasts, professional players and other parties interested in promoting e-sports and e-sports disciplines.
«Throughout the world, e-sports has already become a full industry, which has a multi-thousand army of fans and in which many large companies are willing to invest. Belarusian e-sportsmen also have something to show and say at the international level. However, for this they need, first, support, and second, the opportunity to come together and work together to achieve their goals. We see a certain potential in computer sports, which, in our opinion, can and should develop. That’s why A1 took the initiative to create the Belarusian Federation of Computer Sports,” commented Anton Bladik, A1 Deputy Director for Digital Platforms and Content.
The popularization of computer sports (including in the regions of Belarus), the development and support of professional players, coaches and referees, the holding of competitions and the development of international contacts are among the goals of the Federation. One of the main tasks for the new organization is to work on the recognition of computer sports at the state level: e-sports disciplines can get the status of official sports in the future.
