A1 Team Wins OAC Large-Scale Cyber Drill
The A1 team placed first in a large-scale drill organized by the National Center for Cyber Security and Responding to Cyber Incidents of the Operations and Analysis Center (OAC) by the President of the Republic of Belarus.
The event brought together 20 cyber security teams from across ministries, departments, state agencies, and public enterprises of Belarus, including A1.
According to the legend of the drill, the operation of an industrial enterprise was undermined by unauthorized access to its technological segment, which included a crucial informatization object. Cyber criminal intervention caused industrial equipment to blow up. After a made-up IT security company had failed to repel the cyber attack, the investigation was assigned to the teams participating in the drill.
The event took place at a special cyber polygon designed by the National Cyber Security Center, alongside with the National Traffic Exchange Center. The polygon includes both physical and virtual infrastructure for simultaneous implementation of dozens of scenarios.
The results of the drill were summarized in a detailed report on detected vulnerabilities and ways of exploiting them. The A1 team placed 1st at the drill.
The A1 team is committed to providing a broad spectrum of information security services. Low awareness and lack of cyber security measures are a hazard not only for a company directly affected by an attack (financial health, confidential information and reputation), but for other enterprises as well, which are threatened through a breached infrastructure. In addition to minimizing risks, effective cyber security measures can enhance customer and partner trust.
By taking part in events like that, A1 strives to support the Belarusian professional community and emphasize the importance of using reliable cyber security tools.
