You Online Club of Responsible Influencers: Online Safety for Kids and Teens

ESG

Together with the Belarusian Children's Fund, A1 continues to put efforts into protecting children and teenagers online. A1 is set to establish the You Online club, which will bring together responsible Belarusian influencers with large teenage followings. During round table conversations with experts in cyber security and advertising techniques, therapists, and teachers, Club members will work together to raise awareness of responsible online behavior and the importance of creating a safe online environment.

Digital technologies have become an integral part of our lives, especially for children and teenagers. However, while opening up a wealth of thrilling opportunities, new technologies are also a source of multiple risks. To teach safe online behavior to kids and teens, A1 joined efforts with Belarusian influencers. Acting as role models for kids and teens, online content creators have the power to get over an important message to their young audiences.

A1 aims at creating a space for discussing burning online safety issues, exchanging experience and best practices, and establishing a comfortable online environment. In addition to providing top-notch mobile service, A1 is also committed to making the Internet a safe and stress-free place for everyone, which makes part of its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy. Creating a secure digital environment is especially crucial for future generations, seeing that kids and teens are spending an increasing amount of time online, where they face a variety of risks. A1 joined efforts with the Belarusian Children's Fund and bloggers to incorporate You Online, a club of responsible influencers.

Belarusian bloggers and content creators, whose following is mostly young people, will take part in regular meetings, where they will discuss how online environment affects children and teenagers. Digital prosperity, safety, appropriate and inappropriate content, advertising, and artificial intelligence will become some of the key topics for club members and invited speakers on cyber security and advertising, therapists, and teachers. The upcoming meetings are meant to help Belarusian influencers to form a joint vision of their influence on kids and teens and promote safe and responsible online behavior.
