The State Academic Symphony Orchestra opened anniversary season of Classic Music at Cityhall Together with velcom | A1
On 20 July Classic Music at Cityhall Together with velcom | A1 came back to Minsk. The Belarusian State Academic Symphony Orchestra performed under the baton of Alexander Anisimov on the stage of Svobody square. Saturday concerts of classic music by Cityhall will last till 31 August.

This year well-loved festival Classic Music at Cityhall Together with velcom | A1 celebrates its first anniversary – the first classic open air concert was organized on Svobody square five years ago. About 6 thousand visitors attended the first Minsk concert of anniversary season that is traditionally organized by velcom | A1 and Minsk City Administration.

The best highlights of symphonic west European (German, Austrian, Italian, French) and Slavic (Russian, Polish, Czech, Belarusian) music were selected by Mr. Anisimov for the concert program. The Belarusian State Academic Symphony Orchestra performed music of famous composers of various epochs and countries: from Mozart to Tchaikovsky, from Moniuszko to Dvorak and from Vivaldi to Ravel. Honored artist of the Republic of Belarus Yulia Stefanovich performed violin solo in violin concerto Summer by Antonio Vivaldi.

In honor of the anniversary the festival takes place in five regional cities across Belarus: Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Brest and Minsk. Minsk concerts will last till 31 August. There are five open-air “classic Saturdays” and five evenings featuring well-known festival bands and new participants too.

All concerts within the framework of Classic Music at Cityhall Together with velcom | A1 are free of charge. Besides, telecom operator velcom | A1 will share live broadcasting and recorded versions of all six Minsk concerts. They will be available on VOKA – free of charge on any device and in any operator’s network.
