Cashier's Digital Assistant: New A1 Service for Retail and E-Commerce
Starting from 1 July 2025, it will be mandatory for retailers to send information on marked goods, which are being purchased, to the "Electronic Mark" GIS right from the cash register system. The Ministry of Taxes and Duties will hold retailers responsible for providing inaccurate information.
A1 offers a lightning-fast service called Cashier's Digital Assistant, which helps retailers avoid product marking violations by automatically checking information sent to the "Electronic Mark" GIS. The solution seamlessly integrates with cash register software. Every time the tool detects incorrect marking, it issues a signal for a cashier to react to.
"Nowadays, customers are expecting a high level of service. Our solution allows retail sellers to focus on providing a good customer experience, while outsourcing routine checks to an automated tool," says an A1 representative.
The new service:
- checks marking codes in the "Electronic Mark" GIS database;
- sends data on sold goods, returned goods, and cancelled receipts directly to the "Electronic Mark" GIS;
- uses DataMatrix to check expiration dates;
- identifies GTIN based on the marking code; and
- uses the "Electronic Mark" GIS database to keep differentiated records of marked goods;
The solution is designed to easily integrate in warehousing and commercial processes.
