280+ Base Stations in Gomel Region Run on Green Power Generated by A1's Bragin Solar Park

ESG

Over 280 A1 base stations in Gomel Region are now powered by renewable energy generated by A1's own solar park in Bragin.

For A1, this is a major step towards reducing the carbon footprint and achieving ESG goals. The solar park in Bragin generates about 25% of A1's annual power consumption, which makes it a crucial eco project on the national scale.

"The solar park in Bragin is a great example of how sustainable decisions become part of our everyday operation. We are dedicated to promoting our green energy projects. We use the data obtained to increase power efficiency and achieve our long-term ESG goals, including carbon neutrality," points out A1 representative.

Put into operation back in 2016, A1's own solar power station allows the company to cut down the amount of its carbon emissions. Covering the area of 41 hectares and having the installed capacity of 18.48 MW, the solar park beat all records among helio plants in Belarus at the time of its launch. The solar park required the installation of 730 cable lines. Plus, a 4.5 km high-voltage power line with 22 pylons was constructed to connect the solar park with the Bragin power station.
