Charity, communications, urban planning: successful women from Austria will share their experience with Belarusian women on the air of VOKA

On April 3, three guests from Austria will host a live broadcast of the GRL PWR specifically for Belarusian viewers and, using examples of personal achievements, will discuss the topic of female leadership in their profession. The online meeting will be held with the support of the Austrian Embassy in Belarus as part of the educational program of the "Pershyya" (The First) project. The free broadcast will begin at 11:00 on the VOKA video service and will be readily available to everyone.

For the first time, foreign guests are invited to participate in the educational program. These are three women well known in the fields of business, social activities and philanthropy: Ulrike Haslauer – owner and managing director of Compact Electric, a company specializing in the production of equipment for the field of occupational safety, as well as industry and trade; Silvia Agha-Schantl – business coach, communication specialist and coach, President of the German Speakers Association; Gabriele Domschitz – top manager and lawyer, who for many years managed the Wiener Stadtwerke company, which is responsible for the development of Vienna's infrastructure, and is currently the President of the largest Viennese public volunteer organization.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to share the Austrian experience and introduce Belarusians to three outstanding women who have done so much for business, charitable foundations and social projects in our country. Each of them has worked a long and interesting way up their profession, so their experiences can be useful to people of all ages striving to achieve success in their business", Aloisia Wörgetter, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Belarus, stated.

The speeches of the participants will be accompanied by a translation into the Belarusian language.

"The goal of our project's educational program is to show and provide actual examples of how one idea changes the lives of many people for the better. Which is why we always invite speakers who can inspire others by personal example. But we have never had foreign guests of such a level before, so the event is unique and will be interesting not only for students, for whom the "Pershyya" (The First) project was developed. Furthermore, this time we decided to emphasize the importance of the topic of gender equality on the world stage, so it is no coincidence that our guests are three well-known and successful women who accepted our invitation to share the secrets of success with the Belarusian audience", Nikolay Bredelev, Head of the A1 Corporate Communications department, said.

Several more events will take place in April as part of the educational program of the "Pershyya" (The First) project. Also, until April 30, students in 9, 10 and 11 grades will be able to send an application for participation in the competition in one of five areas – Technology, Culture, Inclusion, Ecology or Urban planning – and get a chance to present their idea at the TEDxYouth@Minsk international youth conference and get an iPhone 12. To do this, make a video about your idea (up to 3 minutes-long), share it on any social media network (TikTok, Instagram, VK, YouTube, FB, OK, Twitter) with the #generationA1 contest hashtag and send a link to generationA1.2021@gmail.com.

The competition is held by A1 with the support of the TEDxMinsk conference organizers. For more information about it, visit the "Pershyya" (The First) project website – www.generation.A1.by.
