А1 Tech Day: Safety as Key Requirement to Technological Innovations
On November 26, Minsk welcomed the 3rd annual conference А1 Tech Day. Hosted by A1, the event brought together professionals in digital technologies and innovations.

This year, the conference set a new record in the numbers of applications and attendees, bringing together around 1,000 experts in IT solutions, cyber security, and business processes, as well as officials from related regulatory agencies.
As Konstantin Shulgan, Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, said during his opening speech, the way the A1 Tech Day audience is growing by year proves how important and relevant the topics discussed at the conference really are.
"Giving developers an opportunity to showcase their expertise, implement projects and ensure their practical application at enterprises is one of the priorities of the Ministry. А1 Tech Day is a great example of such cooperation. A large-scale event like this allows for a more effective discussion and better understanding of the needs of all parties involved, from narrow specialists to government officials," said Konstantin Shulgan.

This year, the key topics at A1 Tech Day included new technological solutions for businesses, information security, and use of artificial intelligence. Each topic had its own dedicated panel. Speakers talked about how to boost business performance using advanced technological tools and how to make the digital environment safe and secure.
"The goals and tasks pursued by A1 Tech Day remain unchanged. Like before, we come together to discuss the latest digital trends and new solutions and share experience in their practical application. For the third time already, we get to see the importance of this conference for expert discussion of a variety of digital transformation issues. Today, we propose to look at this process not only in terms of the effectiveness of certain tools (AI, in particular), but also in terms of their implementation safety," says Yuri Levdansky, Senior Director for Commerce at A1.

This year's А1 Tech Day sponsors included Kaspersky, Yandex, Secure-T, UserGate, ELMA, X-Labs, Falcongaze, Security Code, S-Crypto, True Conf, and other Belarusian and global leaders in information technologies and security. The sponsors' experts talked about the use of AI in different aspects of business (from marketing and advertising, to analyzing the performance of technical support and call center employees), use of cloud services to ensure business safety, and application of IoT technologies to increase business performance. The A1 team presented their ideas and solutions and shared real experience in implementing them within the company and in customer cases.

The topic of information security got special attention at А1 Tech Day-2024. The issue was thoroughly discussed at all levels, from the current state of the National Cyber Security System and relevant attack vectors, to cyber security tools and establishment of cyber security culture within organizations and society in general. By the way, cyber security was the focus of the nation-wide information campaign #Take5seconds, which A1 launched to raise public awareness of fraud schemes and protection methods.
Conference attendees had an opportunity to ask speakers questions, including via live chat bot. Networking has become another crucial thing about A1 Tech Day. The attendees had a chance to share opinions, discuss new information, and make business contacts.
Publicity for A1 Tech Day was provided by Belarus' major information resources, e.g., BelTA, Tochka, Myfin, Onliner, OfficeLife, Prodelo, and Probusiness.
