A1 is inviting you to the ball: audition of debutants is starting for Vienna Ball with A1 at Kupała Theatre

The Vienna Ball with A1 at Kupała Theatre will be held on December 14. A1 Company is inviting young men and women to the audition of debutants—those who will attend the ball free of charge and take part in its grand opening. Applications will be accepted from October 2 to 16, 2019.

You can make your debut at the Vienna Ball at Kupała Theatre if you are a single lady aged 16 to 23 or a single gentleman aged 18 to 26 and you have never taken part in a ball before. Anyone can try their luck: just fill in the questionnaire here from October 2 to 16.

200 best candidates will be invited to the on-site audition where the members of the ball committee will select 20 couples of debutants. The committee will have representatives of the host organizations (A1, Janka Kupała National Theatre, and Austrian Embassy in Belarus), professional choreographers, and other specialists including those from Austria experienced in preparing debutants where Vienna Balls were invented. To have a realistic chance at being selected, the applicants should have at least basic dancing skills, be well-versed in etiquette and good at small talk.

In November, the selected applicants will start their intense training and rehearsals and on December 14, they will open the Vienna Ball with A1 at Kupała Theatre. The couples of debutants are required to follow the dress code that is mandatory for all Vienna Balls. Ladies should be dressed in a snow-white ball gown without crinoline, white gloves, and white shoes. Gentlemen should wear a black tailcoat or parade dress uniform, white gloves, and black patent leather shoes. Participants of the first Vienna Ball with A1 at Kupała Theatre can count on the host—A1 Company—to help them prepare all the things needed.
