A1 introduced a cloud-based solution for branch network management

A1, together with VMware, introduced a new cloud-based SD-WAN solution for legal entities. This solution will connect all customer offices into a single protected network, increasing the performance of corporate applications, as well as simplifying the deployment and management of geographically dispersed networks.

In contrast to the classic VPN, which is used to build virtual private networks, SD-WAN technology (software-defined wide area network) in a few clicks allows users to simultaneously operate multiple data channels from different providers, automatically in real-time redistributes the load between them, as well as improves the quality of communication on the software level.

VMware's innovative Dynamic Multi-Path Optimization (DMPO) technology ensures maximum performance and connection quality for business-critical applications, even over the Internet and wireless links, while automatically eliminating issues such as packet loss, jitter, and latency. If necessary, the solution allows users to configure the priorities of the transmitted information: for example, to assign the highest priority to certain corporate applications.

Thus, all company divisions, even geographically remote ones, get single and secure access to cloud services, data storage, and corporate applications of their company and can quickly and more effectively interact with each other.

The solution works with any channel from any provider. It includes services for the creation and maintenance of a virtual private network with a bandwidth of 10, 30, 200, or 1024 Mbps, a centralized portal for managing and monitoring this network in the data center A1, as well as the necessary client equipment. Thanks to the intuitive graphical interface, even specialists with a basic knowledge of networking can manage the system.

The new solution is offered to legal entities based on the Software-as-a-Service model. One-time fee to be paid for the connection and support of one SD-WAN point is 263 Belarusian rubles (excluding VAT). The cost of the service itself depends on the bandwidth of the virtual network and varies from 105 to 879 rubles per month (excluding VAT). All equipment for the network is provided by A1 free of charge.
