A1 presents 2025's ESG results: million minutes of kindness, thousands of recycled gadgets, 5th anniversary of Inclusive Coffee Houses

ESG

In the wake of New Year, the ESG prize celebrating leadership of companies in environmental safety, social responsibility, and corporate management transparency was awarded in Belarus for the first time. A1 received the main prize for systematic and consistent approach. Let us recall A1's key ESG initiatives from 2025 that many Belarusians will remember.

A1 Belarus is a member of the international telecommunications group A1 Group, which, in turn, since 2014 has been the European division of the transnational holding América Móvil, one of the world's largest providers of telecommunications services with headquarters in Mexico; it builds systematic and long-term ESG strategy integrating sustainable development principles into its business model.

Proprietary device collection system and tree planting

A1 continuously develops environmental initiatives that get more and more Belarusians involved into responsible disposal of equipment, nurture healthy environmental habits, and reward participants with valuable prizes. For example, in 2025, the Eco Hype. Green Season initiative saw over 2,000 people bring more than 13,500 old devices to company shops across the country for safe disposal. At the same time, A1's volunteers planted 13,500 young trees near Akintchitsy village (Stolbtsy District). Thus, Eko Hype brought together two important components: responsible disposal of equipment and forest restoration.

The company also tackles the problem of reducing carbon footprint in the corporate mobility sphere: A1's car fleet is gradually shifting towards green transport. As of the end of 2025, it included 46 electric cars and 6 hybrids, which significantly reduces CO₂ emissions during business trips.

In terms of energy saving, the company focuses on renewable sources: about 25% of the annual power consumption in A1 is ensured by the company's own solar power station in Bragin. The company also promotes the experience of using green energy in urban environment: an autonomous solar-powered public transport stop with voice announcer for the visually impaired has been installed on Gagarina street in Baranovichi.

Responsible influencers club and charity sports festival

Every year, A1 implements dozens of sustainable development projects with a special emphasis on social initiatives. Digital safety, an important element of responsibility before customers and the society, remains one of the key directions in this field.

In 2025, A1 continued to develop the all-national information campaign #Take5seconds aimed at increasing awareness about cyber threats and methods for their prevention. Over 130 people in Minsk and Gomel took part in three offline training sessions from A1 employees and learned how to protect themselves against fraudsters and use digital services safely. In cooperation with the Belarusian Children's Fund and the UNFPA, A1 developed the program for protection of children and teenagers in the digital environment and created the YouOnline Responsible Influencers Club to unite Belarusian leaders of opinions who serve as role models for young people on social media and make the Internet a safer and more comfortable space.

There were 9 meetings with experts attended by 45 bloggers with a combined audience of over 13,000,000 viewers. Within this program, A1, in cooperation with the BSC, also developed a leaflet with the basic Internet safety rules and made it available for downloading on safety.a1.by, while the extended version was distributed through the network of children's institutions supported by the Fund.

Together with the UNFPA and the MAMA PAPA PRO application, A1 also launched the Family Online project for parents, which provides access to educational online courses and games and allows mothers and fathers to use mobile technologies to make their daily time with the children more enjoyable.

In Sync with A1: Minutes of Kindness Sports and Charity Festival became one of the brightest and most prominent moments of the year. In 2025, it brought participants together for a common cause: gathering 1,000,000 minutes of activity, which turned into actual aid to the wards of the Belarusian Children's Fund. Over 3,500 people recorded the time of their training on the online platform and then on the National Football Stadium in Minsk.

Corporate management and charity

A1 keeps improving corporate management through transparency, ethics, digitalization, and Compliance principles. The company is adopting advanced cybersecurity practices to protect its clients' data, cultivates a responsible supply chain, and vigorously protects employee rights to ensure professional and personal growth of its staff.

Compliance with the principles of environmental and social responsibility and high management standards in all corporate processes allows A1 to combine business tasks with public responsibility in a systematic manner and achieve sustainable results in the long-term perspective, which was rewarded with the first ESG prize STELLAR in Belarus. As an expert in the field, A1 also served as a partner and speaker on ESG and sustainable business at seven professional forums.

A1 also supported two large football festivals of the A1 Junior club, as well as 28 plays of the "i" Inclusive Theater, watched by over 8,500 viewers.

One of A1's warmest social projects, Inclusive Coffee Shops, celebrated its 5th birthday this year. As of today, the chain has 12 employees with disabilities who prepared thousands of cups of fragrant coffee for the guests during the departing year. The project took an active part in city festivals: baristas prepared drinks for the visitors as well as shared the important message of inclusion.

In addition, over 40 organizations received sponsorship aid from A1 in 2025, including institutions providing aid to children and families, social institutions for elderly and disabled people, and medical institutions.
