A1 will support ethical fashion shows of Belarusian designers at Belarus Fashion Week

The Republican Public Association "Belarusian Chamber of Fashion", with the support of A1 company, holds ethical fashion shows as part of the Belarus Fashion Week. Everyone will have a chance to watch shows for free on the VOKA video service on April 3 and 4.

At the Fashion Week, there will be five collections of Belarusian designers presented, created from natural materials, to show how the search for solutions to our time's environmental problems changes even the fashion industry.

"Consumers and designers are becoming more and more aware of the fast fashion environmental and social consequences: increased toxic emissions from textile factories, water pollution from the production of synthetic fibers, soil degradation, and forest extinction. That's why it is so important to promote ethical and sustainable fashion, and we have been doing it for the past few years," said Yanina Goncharova, Founder of the Belarus Fashion Week and Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Fashion.

On April 3 at 4-00 p.m., VOKA viewers will have a chance to check out a new collection of Pavel Katsevich and his brand Key-to-art, created from natural eco-friendly fabrics – cotton, wool, and fabrics produced using nettles or eucalyptus. The Zanka brand will present its "Dumki" collection of natural yarns and fabrics with recycled materials. "Edu da tatki" are new works by Tatiana Tur, for which she has chosen earthy hues and natural fabrics to tell a story about the relationship between humanity and nature, inner gardens, and the wonders of everyday life. And the "Kastrama" brand will present the collection named "Plin", created to remind that clothes should be beautiful and comfortable regardless of fashion trends.

On April 4 at 6-30 p.m., there will be a show of Tamara Harydavets (Vitebsk), the founder of the eponymous brand Harydavets – sundresses, caftans, skirts made of linen, cotton, bamboo, and natural silk, inspired by the beauty of the Belarusian nature.

"Fashion is an integral part of the Belarusian culture, and ethical fashion demonstrates the industry's concern for the environment. That's why A1, being a company that pays a lot of attention to supporting national culture and eco-initiatives in its activities, is a partner of the fashion shows. This approach simultaneously lets us present Belarusian designers' stylish works and demonstrate how we can solve the problem of clothes production reduction and responsible use of natural resources," said Nikolai Bredelev, Head of Corporate Communications Department of A1.

You can find broadcasts of the shows on the website voka.tv or in the VOKA app, from any device and on any network after authorization by phone number. For more information, please visit http://www.bfw.by.
