А1 supported Metamorphosis of the City within the most massive contest of social projects Social Weekend

The final round of the largest in Belarus contest of Social Weekend 14 was held on 12 December. A1 honored the project named Metamorphosis of the City from Vitebsk in traditional nomination Belarusian Style. As envisioned by the authors illuminated paintings of Belarusian artists will appear on the residential buildings. Such “lighting” is the effect of a special paint that absorbs the light.

The first painting within the project of Metamorphosis of the City was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the creative association UNOVIS that is celebrated in 2020. A1 together with the Belarusian-Jewish Cultural Heritage Center and Vitebsk Arts College History Museum realize a number of own initiatives in support of #UNOVIS100.

“We observe the development of Social Weekend, the projects becoming “viable” and firm. We are happy to support a regional initiative associated with Belarusian creative and intellectual heritage. For the art is the language. And it is great that an abundance of people will be able to “speak” this language”, - commented Ekaterina Sevastianchyk, CSR expert of A1.

Over 321 participation requests, 50 projects that went through educational phase, 18 finalists – these are the results of Social Weekend 14. The contest united such projects like parents school of first aid, creation of the platform for promotion of musical art in the regions, women safety school, dog-friendly taxi. Rebottle, the idea of 3D printed street furniture from plastic bottles, won the Gran Prix of the 14th contest.
