A1 opens short charity telephone numbers to help healthcare professionals prevent the spread of COVID-19

In coordination with the Ministry of Health, A1 made it possible for its subscribers to make charitable donations to healthcare professionals who are fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. You can transfer funds via a USSD request or by sending an SMS to a short number, as well as using the A1 banking application. All transfers are commission free and will be accumulated in the charity account of the Ministry of Health.

When sending a USSD request to the number *222*19#, a user can select any of the three amounts, 2, 5 or 10 BYN. When sending an SMS to a special short number 219, a charitable donation will be deducted from the balance of the subscriber number, although it is fixed and amounts to 2 BYN.

You can also make a charitable donation via the A1 banking application in the Dobro section using the funds of any bank card added to your account or by deducting any amount from the balance of the subscriber number.

The maximum monthly amount of the charitable donation deducted from your number balance is 100 BYN. It is possible for subscribers of all Belarusian mobile providers to transfer the funds from bank cards in the A1 banking application. The funds can be transferred from the balance of the subscriber number of subscribers of all A1 tariff plans for individuals (except for the PRIVET line). The subscriber number should be active, with access to outgoing calls, sending SMS and mobile Internet. After the transaction has been completed, a subscriber receives a confirming notification of debit.

All the funds transferred by A1 subscribers will be credited to the account of the Republican Center for Organization of Medical Response State Institution on a commission-free basis for accumulation and further distribution of the funds received according to the needs of specific healthcare institutions.

Earlier, A1 provided Belarusian citizens with free calls to hot lines for issues relating to the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and rendered charitable assistance to the Minsk City Clinical Infectious Hospital. A1 will also provide Belarusian healthcare professionals engaged in preventing the spread of COVID-19 with smartphones and free work mobile communication in order to solve urgent working tasks and ensure information exchange in the hottest areas where patients with the coronavirus receive treatment.
