HSPA+ is at all velcom 3G base stations in Minsk and Minsk region

As of May 2 all velcom 3G base stations located in Minsk and Minsk region have been in operation with support of HSPA+ technology.

According to information provided earlier, as of March 17, 2010, the date of the commercial launch of velcom third generation network, HSPA+ have been available in the capital in some areas. Now this technology is activated at all 3G base stations in Minsk and Minsk region. Thus, velcom is the first mobile operator which provided a 100 % HSPA+ coverage in the territory of Minsk and its outskirts.

We remind you that earlier, on April 22, the technologybecame available to the citizens of Mogilev.

Moreover, the network capacity was increased in the capital by 30 % owing to installation of additional base stations of the third generation network.

Within the next few days HSPA+ technology will be activated at all 3G base stations in Gomel.
