50 000 hours for 38 days: charitable activity 100 Hours with A1 has prematurely achieved the main target

Participants of charitable activity 100 Hours with A1: Support TEAM.BY! organized by A1 and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus has prematurely achieved the main aim of the project – dedicate 50 000 hours to practice of sports. This means that BYN 50 000 will be transferred to the Republican Clinical Centre for Palliative Medical Children Care. At the same time the project is continuing as much as the competition among it’s participants for achievement of the maximum timing of the practice in every discipline and in overall ranking in general.

 

The activity is designed exactly for 50 days, starting from 23 June till 11 August. The organizers have invited everyone to participation and do running, power walking, swimming and cycling being challenged to practice sports for 100 hours – at any convenient time and free setup but by all means posting the results on online platform 100.a1.by.

“We are very happy about wide response to our urge and the permanence the participants share their results. Thanks to the united efforts patients of the Republican Clinical Centre for Palliative Medical Children Care will get a financial aid from A1. We are happy to appreciate active participation of all Belarusian regions: everyone made an own contribution to the overall ranking”, - commented Nikolai Bredelev, head of A1 PR.

 

Since 23 June over 1200 people joined the charitable activity. Many of them spent over 100 hours in motion. Besides overall ranking at the close of the initiative the results in every category will be summarized – running, swimming, power walking and cycling. All participants who have achieved the highest number of practice in every discipline will be awarded with the medals and the absolute winner will be awarded with the Cup.

 

One of the objectives of the charitable activity 100 Hours with A1: Support TEAM.BY! was the support of the National Olympic Team who was unable to take part in the crucial starts at Tokyo this summer due to pandemic. Numerous professional sportsmen responded to the initiative of A1 and NOC: Champion of European Swimming Championship 2019 Anastasia Shkurdai, World Cycling Champion 2020 Evgeny Korolek, Silver Medalist of the European Cup 2019 in power walking Dmitry Dyubin and 2019 European Marathon Champion Olga Mazurenok. Football club BATE, Belarusian Swimming Federation, National Olympic Stadium Dynamo, etc. have made a solid contribution to the promotion of the initiative and overall timing of sports practice.
